The Costa Del Sol runs along the southern coast of Spain and is on the Med. On a clear day you can see over to Africa!
The main airport by far for the Costa Del Sol is Malaga Airport, to give you an idea of distance…if you hired a car it would take you 10 minutes to drive from Malaga Airport to Torremolinos, 20 Minutes to get to Mijas / Fuengirola, 35 – 45 miuntes to get to Marbella & Puerto Banus and around an hour to Estepona.
There is a common mis-understanding that Marbella has an airport, it doesn’t. The nearest airport is Malaga but Gibraltar is also quite lose.
