The number of British tourists visiting the Spanish Balearic Islands between January and April this year is up 25% on last year, with Ibiza being the most popular.
The Spanish Airports Authority report that 214,035 British tourists arrived on Majorca (up 24.1%), 8, 286 on Menorca (up 19.1%) and 23,529 on Ibiza (up 37.4%).
The Director of the London Tourism Office said that the numbers of British tourists heading for the Balearics were back to the level seen before the recession, so if you are planning a visit during the high season make sure that you book your hotel and car rental as far in advance as possible.
