The Spanish Airports Authority (AENA) has sacked an traffic controller based in Santiago de Compostela following the air chaos caused by the wildcat strike last year. Two other controllers from that airport have also been disciplined and forced to transfer to Granada and Almería.
The unrest started in Santiago a month before the dispute became national and led to the biggest air chaos in Spain since Franco. A further four cases have been sent to the Prosecutor’s Office.
